Varex Remote Controlled Round Muffler
VAREX mufflers utilize our patented technology to combine both the design of the stock muffler and the performance muffler into one single compact unit. A sophisticated butterfly valve mechanism is implemented to redirect the exhaust gas flow and vary be-tween the two. For higher sound level, the exhaust flows are directed through the opening path and produces maximum power with a robust sound level (or the "sports car note") and near-zero resistance.
When set for lower sound level, the exhaust flows are directed through the chambered path (similar design with the stock muffler), and produces minimum sound level that gives you the best in-car comfort. Angle of the valve is also controllable, which can be adjusted to stop at various points between sports mode and silence mode. This gives you further freedom to set the optimal sound level according to your desired preference.

I have a boosted G37 sedan and I was running an HBP single exit exhaust. I tried making it quiet with two vibrant ultra quiet resonators and it still didn't do anything. After buying this muffler. It made a night and day difference! I not only can hear people talking my car but I can hear everything that goes on with my car I can also hear the supercharger a lot more. I used to have crazy drone in the car now there is no drone at all. With it open it's not as loud as my old exhaust tip but I like it because I'm going for a quiet setup anyway. When you close the valve it's just like a stock car. It's amazing I can't believe not too many people know about this exhaust!

Those Aussies sure know what they are doing. Great install, everything works really great with long cords to run as far as you need to. The sound is awesome, I can switch from a street legal purr to an all out howl at the push of a button. From what I have seen and what I have heard at my local meets, the model doesn't seem to matter in terms of decibels, so get the one that looks great for your application. The 3" Tip on mine surprised the Officer at the meet tonight, he thought it was just a really loud cannon exhaust and was impressed at the sound dampening. Great Buy
