1998-2011 Porsche 911 Engine Mount Kit by Torque Solution
Torque Solution Porsche Engine Mounts are designed to limit the amount of Engine movement from side to side which throws off the balance of the car under load. The factory mounts allow the engine to move which gives the feeling of a sloppy drivetrain. The mounts will give the car a more direct feel and more precise driver input to the vehicle. You can expect a much better feel under Braking, Acceleration, & lateral G's.
While typically most " Race Cars " use a SOLID MOUNT, this solution is less harsh and still maintains better control of the engine movement without the issue of Solid Mount Vibration. The next issue with Solid mounts is the transmission of noise from the chassis to the knock sensor on the engine which can result in a tuning nightmare. These mounts will not affect knock sensor like solid mounts do.

These mounts are a game changer for 911 owners. Even if the old mounts aren't leaking, they are probably starting to sag which alters the geometry from the transmission to the transaxle causing rough shifting in a PDK or stick shift. This 2010 Carrera S Cab is my 4th Carrera. 1st 2- 003 Carrera Tiptronic, 2nd - 2008 911 Turbo 6 speed Manual, 3rd 2002 Carrera Cab 6 speed manual. These mounts are amazing and after spending tens of thousands on various upgrades over the years, I have never changed the mounts before and this probably made a bigger difference than all the suspension changes I have done. I have read people complaining about vibration, but these mounts actually made it smoother. Granted, the old mounts were pretty worn out after 115,000 miles, but now the car shifts ultra smooth like new and the balance of the vehicle is tight and super smooth on the corners. My motor was sagging a couple centimeters on both sides equally so it was not noticeable until I changed the mounts and could see the pipes were tighter against the rear bumper.
The engine now stays very stable and doesn't pitch and roll at all. They were easy to install with a floor jack ( you can watch videos on YouTube ) just need a few tools for a DYI. Because they are Simi-solid, I doubt they will wear out like the OEM hydraulic mounts. They are also quite a bit lighter which removes weight from behind the rear wheels. If your PDK changes gears rough between 1st and 2nd and doesn't seem to downshift the way it should, this is a very simple and inexpensive fix. The bottom line is change them out if you have a 997 or 996 as soon as possible and feel the performance change immediately. The GT3 comes with similar mounts for a reason!! Because they are much better.
Easy to install, solves failed hydraulic oem units. Noticeable stiffness without rattling the car or causing false knocks such as solids mounts.
