The stock rubber hose is not suitable for high temperatures and boost pressures that the engine is capable of when pushed for performance. The piping will deform and hinder the air flow to the engines intake. With this TOMEI Titanium intake pipe, the deformation problem is eliminated whilst preventing the loss of boost pressure. With the added benefits of a 25% weight reduction over the stock item with the increased performance gains, makes it an easier point to choose this easy simple upgrade.

I mean there is not much else to say, it’s Tomei. Exceptional fit and quality. I recommend going this route for upper ICP on Evo x and using the stock intercooler inlet pipe. No need to change lower intercooler piping as well. Just get this and an AMS or Sheepy Built Intercooler and you are set.
The Tomei UICP looks great in the engine bay and the fact that its titanium gives you the security that it wont be denting or breaking anytime soon. Plus its gun metal finish is a nice final touch. Great product!
