This is a high quality item with solid materials. It is very adjustable which means you can set it up in whatever orientation you'd like. The only two drawbacks I see are firstly that the main bolt that anchors the plate holder to the tow hitch really needs some kind of rubber washer or something because the clamping force of the bolt on the rounded bracket (all metal on metal) isn't strong enough to really hold the entire plate from spinning if you put some force on the edge of the plate. Not a huge deal while driving but people could slap it and mess with it. Secondly, and more importantly, the 4 screws that hold the actual plate to the bracket are TINY. It doesn't allow you to run a rubber plate silencer because it's too thick. The other problem caused by the small screws is that New York plate holes are too large for the screw heads, so metal washers were required to complete the install without issue.
