Evo X FPR Hose Upgrade by STM
The factory Evo X fuel pressure regulator line is known to either rot out or pop off causing the car to run lean and present major issues. If you haven't made this super easy change, we suggest doing it asap! All you need to do is remove the factory line and push on this new silicone hose and zip-tie it in place. The image shows exactly where to install it.
If you daily drive your Evo X in the hot summers and corrosive winters, PLEASE do your car this small favor!

My X, though it looks new, is 12 years old and as well as I’ve maintained it had hoses getting a bit crusty. I replaced all the vacuum lines and I needed a replacement FPR hose and saw this on sale so I burned an e-gift card and bought it. The hose fit better than what I was going to replace it with so I was pleased to not have to buy a whole other run of silicone vacuum hose to replace this.
Super easy install for peace of mind over the stock one that has been known to crack.
Was doing some regular maintenance and figured... for $5 why not! Better quality hose, extremely easy to install
I got this hose for piece of mind and for the price can't go wrong. The factory hose looks like it could eventually rot out and that would cause issues, which I've seen mentionedin forums. MAP always has what I need and with fast shipping.
First, thank you maperformance for the fast shipping for this part. Recently I start to have idle issues with my 08 Evo X. I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Fast forward I found my OEM FRP hose was rotting and was super cheap quality. Found the STM tuned FRP hose upgrade on MAP website, and I am impressed. For it just being a hose, the quality looks and feels more durable than the OEM hose from mitsu. The FRP hose was an easy install, less than 5 mins. It came with zip ties also, which made sure this hose isn’t popping off anymore. Do your car a favor and upgrade the hose with the STM Tuned FRP hose. The price is well worth it. Heard a lot of people having the similar issue with the idle and the OEM Hose. This part is the solution for a quick fix.
