Had to repair a leaking turbo drain hose. Had up pipe and downpipe off so install was easy.
Turbo spool faster and engine bay temps are cooler.

Install was fairly easy. Fits 2004 XT with TD04. Will smell a little for the first few heat cycles, not noticeable after that.
Nice addition if you want to remove your factory turbo heatshield, or just need something to replace it. Blanket sits on top of the turbo, and you snake the metal wire included through the bottom side. Haven't done a temperature reading, but from feel, there is less heat on that side of the engine. Usually get blasted in the fast with heat when looking around on that side. Do wear gloves while installing, as this is fiberglass.
Took about 10 minutes to install. Hardest part is snaking the wire from one side to the other. Other than that, happy with the product! A must have if you're staying tmic! Thanks!
