Does the perfect shifter exist. Yes, its right here. From a quick install to an amazing crisp and short shift as well as a knob long enough to pile all your girls hairties on and still have room for your sidechicks this thing is perfect. Install was a piece of cake, not only will it change how you drive your car it will have you seeing your car differently. No longer do you have a stock small knob youll finally have a knob you can flex.
The machining on this shifter is beautiful. It feels super crisp and totally changed the driving experience. I haven’t done any track time yet but don’t let that dissuade you, it’s awesome for a weekend car and could definitely use this on a daily if I daily’d my VIII. Best parts are how it feels, the limiting screws (probably good for synchros) and the adjustability
The IRP shifter feels amazing. Height is just right. I am using a SPG low mounted seat so that probably helps out. However, If using the stock seat it still feels great! Has a very mechanical throw to it, the center spring keeps it having a nice firm feel and the left/right stop screws keeps you from any over travel. Some modification is required for the 5spd console but if you have a 5spd swap but kept your 6spd console very little cutting needs to be done and you can modify the boot to keep from having a hole. Overall a somewhat hard price to take on for a shifter but so far I feel like it’s worth it for me since I mostly do a lot of time attack.
