The HKS SQV is often referenced as the best sounding BOV. Now that I have one I can attest to this!!! The stututu is lovely every time.
Package arrived within 3 days since it was in stock. I had a promo code that wasn’t working for a strange reason. I called the company and they applied the discount immediately :) Saved me $30 and cost came out to about $270.
Installation without the recirculating piping took about an hour. I decided to test the BOV on my 1996 ECR33 with an RB25DET without recirculating. It’s non stock with an Apexi boost controller with boost solenoid, HKS GT 2835 turbo, and tuned without a MAF using an HKS FCON VPRO. I fortunately did not notice a drop in performance. It is nice having the return kit just in case I needed to recirculate the air.
Beware that you will need a saw to kit the stock metal recirculating piping to fit the rubber recirculating hose included with the kit. Instructions are included to show you where to cut.
Also beware that if your turbo setup is stock or uses MAF sensor then you may need the return kit or you may have loss in performance and/or idling issues.
