So, you probably already know that you want an intercooler with maximum cooling and minimum restriction, but when it comes to selecting the right ‘man for the job’, we think it’s important to understand why. As air is pressurized by your turbo, it heats up, not because of the heat of the turbocharger, but because when they’re compressed, the atoms in the air are forced closer together and as a result, move faster and have more energy. That energy manifests itself as heat. The more heat we can remove from the system, the denser the air becomes and that’s what helps eliminate pre-detonation, or ‘knock’, allowing for increased output from your system. Your OEM TMIC does just fine at stock boost under normal use, but as soon as you start putting some real heat into it with a higher boost or harder use, it heat-soaks beyond recovery.

I've got to let the people know that if you are wanting a beautiful TM, but second-guessing spending that much money. just do it for 2 reasons. 1: they make more money. 2: this thing is a unit!
personally, i don't have the black one, just silver. I've had mine for awhile now, and i needed a new "GS" stencil so i could do it in a different color but couldn't find one, so i messaged the GS guys, and THEY SENT ME ONE 100% FREE!! all around great!!

Installed it a months ago and so far so good! Top quality👍👍
TMIC was simple to install took all of about 1hr total including, removing of the OE IC and putting together of the GS Y-Pipe kit. The only issue i had was in re-installing my Turbo Smart Dual Port BOV, the return tube was pushing against the fluid hose and the Vacuum hose needed to be moved to the left side and even then mounting the BOV was very awkward. The return tube provided by GS may have been a bit short. The product itself is of great quality at first glance, and well worth the cost and the size is not superbly large as some of the others (which have fitting issues due to AC lines). If deciding on this item just make note of the slight adjustment to the vacuum hose.(See pic attached). See my review of the GS Splitter (a must have with the TMIC) for pics.
