One of the biggest complaints we’ve heard from 2015-21 WRX owners has to do with cracks forming in their OEM plastic turbo inlets from removal, installation or just general wear and tear. As the plastic inlet ages and becomes brittle, it has a tendency to separate around the BPV and/or turbo flange portion of the piece. Since the inlet is one of the most critical components for metered air and consistent performance, cracks or separation can lead to dangerous conditions for the engine. this was an easy install
if you dont have an intake
i recommend getting one at the same time
dont forget the boost controller
the lines are easy to figure out
2 (middle) is for the turbo and
3 (right side) for the waste gate
im running a cobb redline intake
i felt like the coupling was little short
had to readjust and clamp as best
as i could so far no vacuum leaks
I bought this for peace of mind and just looking to replace the plastic one. It actually made a noticeable difference. Some of the random AFR fluctuations while cruising entirely went away. Havent had a DAM drop since install. No fine knock learning. 100% would recommend.
Very happy with the quality. Waiting on my tune for the rest of the parts I got before I install it. But I’m confident there won’t be any issues with it.
