Girodisc Rear Slotted 2pc Rotor Set for EVO X

The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight high performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. The Girodisc rear rotors are approx 13.4lbs vs. 18.6lbs for the stock units. This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.

The central hat section of our rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum.  The disc is made from our own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc.  The rotor utilizes a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.

The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 10 high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to our own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads.

These are great! The rears work with the Evo X parking brake setup.

These things are great! Weigh less than single piece rotors and helps with dissipating heat. My only concern was the rear parking brake for the Evo X since it uses a separate drum system. These will fit and work as the inside of the center hat acts as the drum for the parking brake. The only problem is there is no hole in the hat for easily adjusting the parking brake system.

    Amazing Rotors!

First off thank you Map for suggesting these rotors. They were shipped quickly with no damage to the units. Second these rotors are absolutely gorgeous and makes the car stand out a bit more.

Standard driving: i paired these with the gorodisc magic pads and AMS stainless steel brake lines. On the road driving normal, it has a nice bite to it, it doesn’t deviate too far from stock but it is firmer on the pedal. Very smooth and quiet, bedding in was simple.

Track driving: taking it to the local go kart track with tight turns and straights, these rotors give you the confidence to brake later and harder with no fade. The rotors being slotted really helped with keeping the temperature down. I might have been able to squeeze a little extra stopping power from something like Ferrados pads but the magic pads are great for auto cross and keeping the dust/noise level non existent.

All in all I’m very happy with these rotors, plus they’re lighter than stock so unsprung weight is lowered. They are not cheap by any means but if you want garunteed perfromance and confidence as your skills in driving improve, then these are the right rotors!

    I love this set up.

Purchased this along with the "magic pads" the fronts were perfect fit however the rears I had to cut the warning tap since they were hitting the rotors no biggie but it was noisy.
