1993-1998 Toyota Supra Turbo Forged H-Beam Connecting Rod Kit by Tomei

Big Power leads to larger stressing matters when the compression forces that the pistons receive get much higher. The conrod then plays a vital role to keep it all connected with the crankshaft. So in effect, the conrod should become one with the piston to help drive the crankshaft with a smooth fluid motion. Reliability at high engine speeds plays a key factor when the balance of inertial gravity comes into play. The weights of the connecting rods are also important when engine response is looked at during the characteristics of the engine for the build. Our connecting rods are designed with the key targets of balance, weight reduction, strength, and reliability in mind. With our famous design and reliability, you can rest assured these will keep you connected even when you are pushing a lot of boost through your forced induction setup.

Tomei Connecting Rods are forged from molds with the main bearing hole predetermined, not machined from a solid piece. This produces a connecting rod with supreme durability which can withstand extreme conditions. Lack of the large end's strength leads the metal to distort and the bearing to wear out. To secure enough strength, Tomei applies a "round shoulder shape" at the link of the rod's large end. To provide lubrication to the bushing in the small end, instead of sending oil through the long hole inside the rod from the large end, Tomei assembled a tapered oil hole at the top of the small end so that the oil will drip during the piston's compressing cycle. This way the strength of the rod won't be sacrificed.
