EJ25 Torque Plate
A torque plate is essential during any boring or honing process. When you torque a head down on the block the threads will cause the cylinder bore to slightly deform, a torque plate takes the place of the head to simulate any distortion that will be caused when the head studs/bolts are tightened. Using a torque plate while boring and/or honing removes these slight bore irregularities.

After trying and realizing you cant get a 2" block of aluminum for much cheaper, i went with this and am glad I did.
I purchased the MAP EJ25 torque plate and I am very satisfied! I had emailed some questions which were answered quickly. Once I saw how quickly the response was I immediately ordered my plate. The shipping was fast and the packaging was very good! Don't hesitate to call or email any questions.
Nice quality and prompt shipping. I bought the plate which accommodates both 11mm and 1/2" studs. I received one set of 6 inserts which I assume accommodate both sizes of studs.
I just received my torque plate for standard stud ej motors. The plate is true cylinder wise and head mounting surface wise. It's a very nice piece. Shipping was excellent as well. My only gripe is- the plate will only work for one studs size and will not work for big boy studs if you order the standard plate. I will remedied this punching out the stud area to 1/2 inch. Then I will make an insert that will fit tightly inside the 1/2 inch hole with a standard size stud hole. This way the plate will work for both.
