2-Piece Rear Driveshaft for Evo 7/8/9

We are proud to introduce our 2-piece driveshaft for the Evolution VII / VIII / IX. This shaft uses an Aluminum front section with a Chromoly rear section with a specially designed hanger bearing and bracket that eliminates the violent hanger lag that occurs when power is put through the factory shaft. Our driveshaft uses 1 hanger bearing, instead of the 2 on the factory shaft, and features greasable/replaceable u-joints instead of the non-serviceable type on the factory shaft.

Great product

Decided to get this since my OEM driveshaft had a torn boot.
MAPerformance shipped out next day with the best price while even the Driveshaft Shop site said they will have to make it.

Arrived well packaged and installed pretty easily.

It comes with a new carrier bracket and the holes need to be drilled out a small amount to accommodate the existing studs on the car and this driveshaft does not run a dust boot cap like the OEM. Literally remove 4 bolts and 4 nuts, slide out old driveshaft, slide in new and re bolt 4 bolts and 2 nuts.

Product drives amazing and car feels like it has so much more free horsepower and more solid since the U joints are twice as large and diameter of the shaft is significantly bigger. Great product!
