2015+ WRX Short Shift Transmission Plate by Boomba Racing

This extremely durable and high quality bracket is constructed out of zinc-plated billet steel. It installs easily and replaces the existing shift plate on the passenger side of your 2015 + Subaru WRX transmission, reducing your shifter throws by 30% or 50% when paired with our short throw shift lever. The increased weight of 1340 grams [nearly double the weight of stock's 750 grams] also aids in shifting momentum and positive engagement.

The shifter plate is designed and manufactured in Boomba's manufacturing facility; right here in the United States and all mounting hardware is included. All plates are zinc plated for durability and excellent appearance. A definite mod for daily drivers as well as the autocross and road racing enthusiast!

Feels awesome

Why did I wait so long? It feels so good. Significantly shortens the stock 2020 WRX throw. Feels a tad “heavier” too. Novice mechanics steer clear. I’m stoked I got it on correctly, but for me it was a first and last, ha! Glad I did it, but don’t really wanna do it again. Also get the brass bushing too since ya gotta take the factory one off since you’ll be down there a bit. I cannot say enough how much I love the shifting in my WRX now! Product comes drop shipped and took about a week fyi. But again, well worth it and props MA!

Boomba trans plate

The counterweighted transmission plate from Boomba has gerasticly made the drivability of the wrx far more enjoyable. Much noticed difference, would recommend buying along with the Boomba short throw shifter, Perrin shift stop, and Boomba brass shifter bushings all from MAP.

Great Mod - Try this before you just accept the WRX shifting

Decided to give this a try since I was very displeased with the stock shift feel of my ‘18 WRX. No regrets, the roll pin came out easy, installing was harder for me. I ended up punching it the whole way through and backing it out so I could slide it on. Also recommend using a small 5MM Allen to insert in the top to stop the plate from rotating as you try to hammer in the pin. This paired with the Perrin bushing I am satisfied with how the car feels now shifting. I also did a Group N trans mount, and the Whiteline Positive shift kit. Highly recommend.
