2017 Civic Type-R Cat-Back Exhaust System by aFe Power
aFe introduces the all new Takeda cat-back exhaust system for the 2017 Honda Civic Type R with the L4-2.0L (t) engine. In testing, this system resulted in gains up to +19 horsepower and +20 lbs. x ft. of torque.
This exhaust system is constructed of 1-3/4", 2-1/2", and 3" diameter, mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel, brush finished tubing for increased flow and corrosion resistance. It is 100% hand TIG-Welded by certified craftsmen for race proven strength and durability. The exhaust system also incorporates dual free-flowing 304 stainless steel 14" long mufflers, which improves performance across the power band while maintaining a great tone.
To finish off this exhaust system, dual 4.5" and a single 3.5" Carbon Fiber tip provide an aggressive yet elegant sporty look. This system uses machined factory style flanges and hanger locations for a secure leak-free seal and hassle-free Install. No modifications necessary.

This is a great exhaust. Perfect deep tone and you can really feel the power increase. Might be a bit loud for some people that like a more quit non droning ride. But perfect for those that don’t mind some noise. Only gripe is that packaging looked great but a couple of things still got bent during shipping like flange and exhaust hanger on one muffler. NOT MAP’s fault but maybe AFE could pack more paper in to make sure that doesn’t happen again. I noticed when I received the package there was some movement going on in the box so clearly could have been packed better. Luckily I was able to bend back into place and so far seems to be ok. Will be buying from MAP again.
