Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 Mod Twin XT Clutch Kit (Sprung Hub / Organic Discs) by ACT
T2S-M01 Mod twin street kit offers twice the number of disc surfaces for better wear, heat capacity and long life compared to single disc kits. These kits use a proprietary Positive Lift Floater System design, which results in quiet operation with no floater rattle and no posts to wear. ACT twin disc kits undergo an exclusive four-stage, heat treating process on all diaphragms. The ACT twin disc features the ability to adjust for disc wear and provides equal disengagement for discs.
The ACT Performance street rigid-hub discs feature premium organic materials with high copper content for better heat transfer and steel-backed lining for greater burst strength and durability. The chrome-moly hub is heat-treated for strength and durability. Rivet design and materials are carefully selected for maximum strength. All ACT twin disc kits include a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel to ensure trouble-free installation and operation. ACT twin disc kits include a pressure plate, two discs, a floater, flywheel and alignment tool. Some kits may include a pilot bearing and release bearing.

OEM clutch pedal feel if not better. No clutch chatter. No between shift noise. This clutch is absolutely amazing. I’m replacing a Exedy twin that had served me well. The shop replacing the clutch recommended the new ACT set up and I’m 100% satisfied. It was a little hard to get tho they seem to be sold out everywhere. I originally wanted the HDSS rated for 700lbs or torque, which is more than enough for my needs. I have a Evo 9 MR and I plan to keep the 6 speed as I daily my car. I will have full bolt ons and E85. They didn’t have the HDSS available and I needed a clutch sooner than later. Once again Connor was able to find the next step up in stock, ready to ship. Got it to me next day. The XTSS which is ACT’s Extreme Heavy Duty pressure plate with ceramic disc. It’s rated for 825lbs of torque. I was nervous that it the pedal would feel to stiff because of the higher torque rating… I couldn’t be happier. The pedal effort is minimal. It’s such a pleasure to drive. I daily my car, and I put lots of miles on it. The crazy traffic between New York and Connecticut can make driving a twin disc very regrettable, but ACT got it absolutely right. My Exedy twin wasn’t terrible, I have one in my Subaru as well, but it wasn’t nearly as good as this. I highly recommend this set to anyone. 825lbs is more than enough torque for what I will throw at it. I am definitely going to replace the Exedy twin in my Subaru as well. This clutch is an absolute dream to drive. I also grabbed a set of ARP flywheel bolts while I was in there.
I had ACT clutch before lasted me 3 years since i am pushing more power I had to upgrade the clutch on my Evolution 8. I got this from map spoke to LEO they had one in stock and he ship it out quickly. I got it installed it looks really good and have a stock clutch pedal feel to it and drives smooth I will update the review once I fully break it the clutch and do some pulls and see if I see any issues
