ACT 2004-2018 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 6 Pad Sprung Race Disc
6240618 is a 6-pad spring-centered race discs made with high quality ceramic friction materials.
The engagement is harsher, but shifting is faster. The heavy duty torsional dampening springs are stronger, in most cases, than standard springs and are provided in the best sizes and spring rates to suit the application.
The 6-pad, spring-centered disc is recommended for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat and for smoother engagement.
Features
- Aggressive engagement, quick shifts, mild to moderate gear rattle
- Premium ceramic friction materials provide moderate wear rates and high heat tolerance
- Utilizes wraparound spring windows, thicker retainer stampings and a heat-treated, spring steel drive plate to provide support, reduce stress concentrations and increase strength and reliability
- Recommended for high horsepower street or race use
- High burst strength and holds 28% more torque than typical organic materials
Applications
- 2004-2021 Subaru WRX STI

I've only put 50 miles on this clutch but so far it rocks. I drove around maybe 10 minutes though the neighborhoods to let the car warm up and get a feel for the clutch. After that I hit the main roads and worked my way to the highway. I slowly worked my way into boost initially and within 30 miles I was flatfoot shifting. I installed a brand new OEM STI flywheel but decided to use this with my old exedy HD pressure plate that only had 12k miles on it. I guess this will make it's torque capacity unknown but currently I am running 475whp/450wtq. In the near future I'm hoping to up the power a little bit. I'm pretty confident this will hold the power.
Perfect piece to the never ending puzzle of what will i do next. Little bit of a harsh engagement but thats to be expected with a 6 puck
