Ksport big brake kits provide the ultimate in stopping power for your vehicle. Integrating new brake technology into the design of the kits allows for a kit that highly reduces brake fade and continually cools and refreshes the brake pads surface under braking. These brake systems are designed for easy installation with minimal tools required (in most applications).
Their extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper comes in differential bore configuration and features much larger pistons than our ProComp calipers. It is machined from aircraft quality billet, weighs just over 7lbs. each, and has machined in protection grooves for the bridge tubes. Aluminum pistons, high temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates are also standard on each caliper design. The opposed piston caliper design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM design. The stainless steel brake lines stop expansion under pressure. Due to the larger size of the caliper in the ProComp series, 4 brake pads are standard per caliper.
SuperComp systems come standard with Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces weight both rotating and unsprung. The floating disc also stops thermal stresses of extreme heat from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor greatly reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris faster than conventional slot designs. Every rotor is always heat treated and balanced before shipment for the best possible performance. Cross drilled rotors tend to run cooler than slotted and are recommended for daily driven vehicles. Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that will be seeing more track use than daily driving.
Ksport SC5 Street Pad Specifications:These NAOC ceramic pads are designed to give you the optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions. Optimal operating temperatures are between 194?F ? 1022?F for fast warm up under normal driving conditions. These pads reduce the amount of brake dust by 50% or more when compared to their race pads. The SC5 pads also greatly reduce the amount of noise and wear on the rotor over the race pads. The average coefficient of friction on this pad is between .46 and .53.
Ksport RC1 Race Pad Specifications:These carbon metallic race pads are designed to give you the best stopping power possible under extreme track conditions. Optimal operation temperatures are between 482?F ? 1472?F so it is not recommended for street use due to the high working temperature needed for optimal performance.
Super 8 pot calipers in our front 380mm, 400mm, 421mm and rear 400mm systems
Larger pistons are used in their super 8 pot calipers for truly massive stopping power. Billet aircraft quality 6061-T6 aluminum construction help keep the weight down and also shed the heat quickly. Due to the huge size of our super 8 pot calipers, each caliper requires 4 brake pads.
Rear 6 pot calipers in our 380mm system
6 pot lightweight aluminum calipers are standard in their 380mm/15? rear big brake systems. The opposed piston caliper design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM design.
Floating 2 piece rotors
Floating 2 piece rotors are standard on all SuperComp brake systems. The floating disc stops thermal stresses of extreme heat from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. Less chance of vibration is also a benefit of floating discs.
Cross drilled rotors
Cross drilled rotors are the best option for a daily driven street car. Drilled rotors also tend to run slightly cooler than slotted. Both types have increased ?bite? over stock and continuously clean and refresh the pad surface.
Slotted rotors
Slotted rotors are recommended for race applications. Both types have increased ?bite? over stock and continuously clean and refresh the pad surface.
Carbon steel caliper brackets
Every kit comes with CNC machined carbon steel caliper brackets. Due to their calipers being much larger than oem, these brackets help our system bolt right up to your oem caliper bracket location.
Stainless steel brake lines
D.O.T compliant stainless steel braided brake lines are standard in all of their brake kits. Stainless steel brake lines improve overall pedal feel and provide quicker pedal response.
Optional race pads
SC5 street pads are standard equipment in their brake kits along with an option for their race pads. Street pads are ceramic and race pads are carbon metallic. Race pads are NOT recommended for street use due to their working temperature being much higher than street pads.
12 month limited warranty
All Ksport big brake kits come standard with an 12 month warranty which covers manufacturer defects.
