MAPerformance's BRZ Build Thread Pt. 1

From Dealership to Dyno
From the time we first place the order on our BRZ, we were eager to get our hands on the platform to see just how different it was from the previous generation. After months of waiting, our MAP spec (white) BRZ arrived and our media team was quick to grab the keys and snap some photos. With the help of another local BRZ owner, we were able to see just how photogenic the platform is.
Of course, their joy ride didn't last long before our New Product Development team came knocking, after all, we are a performance parts manufacturer, not a media company. With the car in hand, the first order of business was to see just what kind of power we could expect.
Dyno Results
After a few back-to-back pulls on the dyno we saw a best of 220whp and 175tq. While not the craziest numbers that we've ever seen it's on par with what other 2022 BRZ/FRS seem to be making. Compared to the 1st generation, ballparking around 165whp and 120wtq, it's a pretty significant difference. While dyno numbers are great for bragging rights the real difference can be felt in everyday driving where the extra torque helps the low-mid range and the horsepower coming in on the top end.
Altogether, the current generation provides a similar experience as the 1st gen, albeit with more power. Of course, being MAPerformance it didn't take us long to start the R&D process, stay tuned for the next update as we further our development on the platform.
