Front-wheel-drive SR20DET?
When mentioning the SR20DET these days, the first cars that come to mind is usually the extremely popular RWD S-chassis variants. Some may have forgotten that cars such as the 90's Sentra SE-R and G20s came with the non-turbo version of the engine while in other countries, cars such as the Pulsar GTI-R came with the DET ("T" for the turbo) version that was swappable into a chassis such as the B13. Though Eric Nazario was originally searching for an S-chassis, it was fate that when he did find one, it was sold from under him. With that failed attempt, it did bring him to searching and immediately finding this B13 Sentra and building it to what we see here today! Taking it from a typical commuter 1.6L Sentra and tossing in an SR20DET/GTX28 combo, he made this a one-of-a-kind build! Having owned it over half a decade, Eric's attention to detail along with the unique combination of aesthetic styling makes it stand out from the rest whether in rush hour traffic, a car show, or at a car race.
If it doesn't exist, make it!
After bringing the car home in its bone stock 1.6L non SE-R Sentra form and attemping to modify it, Eric ran into ran into issues and decided to simply find an SR20DET to make life simpler. With that done came the challenges of unique styling with aero and interior as the market is nowhere nearly as large as the the more-popular Civic/Integras. Eric brought together pieces from many different cars such as front and rear lips from Civics, G20 sideskirts, an R32 GTR spoiler and a customized hood with Pulsar GTI-R vents which all flows nicely with custom projector headlights, symmetical horns in the grille, oil cooler and intercooler placement. Anyone who sees this car would understand and appreciate Eric's attention to detail.
Not only does the outside look like it all was made for the B13 Sentra chassis, the interior looks as if it came this way from the factory as an optional enthusiast package. The custom upholstered Recaro CS seats, Nissan March Turbo steering wheel, Nismo shift knob, G20 rear seats, custom Recaro fabric door cards and digital NX1600 dash really set off the interior as it all flows together so perfectly.
