2022 BRZ Mods: Our 3 Favorite Builds

1. Evan Shanks 2022 BRZ build

First on our list is YouTube personality and our friend Evan Shanks. If you’ve never seen his content, Evan goes deep into the technical side of modding while never losing sight of the fun side. And "fun" describes this build exactly.

Exhaust

His silver 2022 BRZ has a custom-made single exit exhaust. Starting with a Tomei N1 (similar to this, except with a single exit), we then sent him some of our exhaust pipes to finish it up.

Wheels

For wheels, he’s using the IMOLA series from Heritage Wheels with the 18x9.5 +38–a nod to the Gen 1 body style fitment.

Coilovers

A set of BC Racing coilovers with confirmed fitment from last year’s model rounds out Evan’s classy build.

2. TJ Hunt 2022 Subaru BRZ build

Our friend TJ Hunt came in clutch with a beautiful BRZ build. He blew up in the aftermarket industry with his 1st generation BRZ build and was one of the first to get the 2nd generation.

Exhaust

With exhaust, his team went with unequal length Tomei headers. These headers are designed for optimum operating efficiency with performance curves, durable SUS304 stainless steel pipes, and lightweight mass compared to the stock ones.

Next, he installed a Magnaflow dual exit catback exhaust for that smooth, deep tone, high-quality 100% stainless steel, and the ease of simply bolting on.

Wheels

TJ went with the TE37 wheels (TE37 18x9.5 +38 to be exact, but check out our full selection of Volk Racing wheels). This rigid and durable wheel has the ever-popular and traditional 6 spoke design and has further enhancements in performance with deeper pockets behind each spoke.

Coilovers

He added BC Racing coilovers to the build for the high level of fine-tuning they bring to the table.

3. HKS 2022 BRZ build

HKS’s BRZ build gives off some serious modern, flashy tuner vibes but in a great way. To add to the visual impact, they added their own HKS body kit with carbon accents covering the entire exterior and into the engine bay.

Exhaust

For exhaust, HKS went with their Hi-power SPEC L Exhaust + Catted Front Pipe for increased power and performance, an enhanced exhaust tone, a stylish look, and a lightweight design.

Exterior

All of the fun exterior mods we noticed include:

• Side skirts
• Front lip
• Rear diffuser
• Spoiler
• Carbon fiber engine cover

Not only do these look great, but this body kit reduces drag and increases traction as it filters the airflow underneath the BRZ more effectively.

Wheels

HKS installed the timeless ADVAN GT Beyond wheels. Redesigned to enhance clearance for big brake kits, the new ADVAN GT features an extra concave face, machined side spokes and a beautiful 3D logo.

Coilovers
